BASS Magazine Front Cover, Contents Page and DPS

Front Cover:

Final Front Cover:

Above is both my original, my developed and my final Front Cover of BASS Magazine. I changed the masthead because it wasn't bold enough and didn't stand out enough. I removed the red/white border behind the cover lines because they stood out instead of the masthead. I also varied the size of the cover lines because this was also a convention in my case studies. I removed a lot of the excess information in the main cover line because it wasn't needed and it is also in other magazines.

Final Contents Page:

Above is both my original and improved Contents Page. I changed the images of the models because the black backdrop was too repetetive and I added a red border around the images so that the black image wouldn't fade into the background. I also changed the image of the editor because it wasn't appropriate for the magazine and looked out of place.

Double Page Spread:

Developed DPS 1:

Final DPS:

Above is both my original and my developed DPS of BASS Magazine. I changed one of the images at the top of the spread because it was also on the Contents Page and I wanted to show a variety of images from my photoshoot. I changed the quote from "Give Me Love is the marijuana to the cocaine of the album" to "What I do is all about music, fashion, technology and peformance. I can't have one without the other or I won't be complete" because the second quote is more appropriate and reflects Dube more as an artist and her work. I changed the background of the Twitter section from Indigo to Baby Blue because that is the colour that Twitter uses. The masthead was changed at the top of the spread to flow with the rest of the magazine.
